The Last Last Summer
Posters of scattered memories from a final summer break
Poster
Posters capturing my reflections on what I consider my “last” summer. After years immersed in building my career, I returned to graduate school and found myself with a rare opportunity: a summer break. As it approached, I felt conflicted about how to spend my time. Friends around me offered advice: “It’s your last last summer!”, “Don’t work!”, “Just relax.” Having been in constant motion for so long, the idea of slowing down felt surreal—almost like an anomaly. The experience was dreamlike and complex, and I realized that relaxation isn’t always easy. When work no longer dominates, other facets of life—friendships, self-care, love—step forward, each demanding attention. The visual elements of the poster are intentionally scattered, capturing sentimental fragments from that summer, with varied typographic treatments emphasizing the temporality and emotional weight of this “last” season.
