Bad Draws
A poster of gacha heartbreak disguised as almost something good
Poster
Pokémon Trading Card Pocket is a newly launched mobile game by The Pokémon Company that has gained widespread attention. A key feature allows players to open a free pack of five cards every 12 hours. While Pokémon TCG traditionally had a niche audience, this simple mechanic expanded its reach, driving engagement and revenue as players opted to bypass the wait.

This poster visualizes my experience of opening a pack every 12 hours, often receiving unwanted cards. Each flower-like shape represents a five-card pack, reflecting the cycle of anticipation and disappointment. The cards are shown at actual size, with white symbolizing the least rare, commonly known as "white cards."
